Principal and Director, Innovest
Sloan is a Principal and Director at Innovest and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, where he contributes to investment research, due diligence, and portfolio strategy. He serves as a consultant to institutions and families, advising on asset allocation and manager selection across market cycles.
Sloan is a Principal and Director at Innovest and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, where he contributes to investment research, due diligence, and portfolio strategy. He serves as a consultant to institutions and families, advising on asset allocation and manager selection across market cycles.
As Director of the Due Diligence Group, Sloan leads the sourcing, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of investment managers and strategies. His work integrates quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess performance, understand return drivers, and evaluate risk across traditional equity and fixed income investments, as well as alternative strategies including hedge funds, private equity, and real estate.
Prior to joining Innovest, Sloan was a Senior Consultant at Northern Trust in Chicago, where he reviewed client portfolios, oversaw valuation and pricing procedures, and developed automated risk-management tools. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Risk Analyst at Alphametrix, a hedge fund platform, conducting manager due diligence and producing customized risk reports for investors. He began his career as an equity options trader at Simplex
Investments, implementing arbitrage strategies in public markets.
